L500 Series Toshiba Laptop

Reasons Why: Unlike the Dell’s who hit you for more dollars for different colour or styles, the L500 comes in a new Fusion Finish, with a choice of Graphite Gray or Midnight Breeze ( you have to give it to them for their creativity with the names). Seriously, the laptops come in a range of screen sizes from 14” to 17.3” and are all very well priced.
Read and Understand the Specifications: going for the cheapest one in the range may be the ideal choice for you, but if you are confused about what it is that you are actually buying ask a professional. When you look at the different models there is only a few dollars difference between the AMD Athlon Dual core and the Intel Celeron. It is our opinion that the choice here would be to go for the AMD as it will be quicker and handle larger loads of data than the Celeron (these are end of life).
Another distinction to look for is the onboard graphic card, L505D has a ATI Radeon 4100 and although this takes from the system memory it is far superior to the GMA (Graphics Media Accessory)
I would recommend to get one with at least 3GB memory, and check that your model has a webcam and microphone, although you may think they all would, they don’t.
Good points are price point is excellent for a thin, light stylish notebook, with additional PC Health Monitoring software and an integrated memory card reader.
Conclusion : a good money saver and an excellent notebook for anyone studying
